UD Trucks Celebrates 90 Years with launch of all-new Condor range

All new condor PW

Nine decades ago, founder of UD Trucks, Kenzo Adachi, conceived a truck that pushed the boundaries of efficiency and productivity. Now in 2025 UD Trucks Australia has unveiled a new range of trucks that build on that original ethos. Trucks that the world needs today.

The all-new UD Condor is a major step forward in the medium duty sector, featuring advanced safety features, a powerful yet efficient new drive line and a class leading cab layout.

Available in 6x4 and 6x2 and 4x2 guise with wheelbases ranging from 3910mm to 6000mm (leaf suspension) and 3190mm to 6950mm (air suspension) the Condor will neatly fit into most applications.

Powered by a tough 300hp/981Nm Euro 6 engine and backed by an Allison MD3060 automatic transmission (PK) and the Allison MD3560 (PD and PW), the new range is not short on grunt while still delivering a refined drive.

Given that medium duty trucks are a common occurrence in the urban environment, it will come as no surprise that safety is a top priority. The revamped Condor range is equipped with the safety features we’ve come to expect from UD Trucks along with added features such as autonomous braking for vulnerable road users as well as other vehicles.

Other notable safety features included adaptive cruise control as standard equipment, adaptive high beam headlights, automatic windscreen wipers, traffic sign recognition and electronic vehicle stability control.

“This new range of trucks represents an exciting new chapter for UD Trucks Australia,” says Philippa Wood, Vice President, UD Trucks Australia. ”I’m thrilled to see the range of transport solutions we can now offer our customers in the country grow even further.”

“Our founder conceived a truck based on efficiency, durability and productivity and even after the passing of 90 years the UD Condor will continue to carry on that tradition in Australian cities and on Australian roads.”

The new UD Condor range will go on sale in Q3 2025.
