UD Trucks Southern Africa showcases innovation and support at Nampo 2025

UD Trucks Southern Africa showcases innovation and support at Nampo

UD Trucks Southern Africa (UDTSA) proudly participated in the 2025 Nampo Harvest Day—Southern Africa’s premier agricultural expo, held on the 13th – 16th May. As a long-standing supporter of the agricultural and farming sector, our presence at Stand A4 was all about demonstrating how UDTSA continues to deliver smart logistics solutions tailored for the industry.

Showcasing versatility through real-world applications

At this year’s show, UDTSA displayed three of its robust and reliable models:

  • Croner PKE 250 FC 4x2 ATM SR 16t
  • Quester GWE 460hp Truck Tractor
  • Quester CWE 440 FC 6x4 AMT SR 31t Ret  f/w cattle carrier

Each truck was thoughtfully equipped with customized bodies to highlight the versatility and range of applications UDTSA can support in the agricultural logistics space. The Quester 440hp FC, fitted with a cattle rail body, represented our commitment to livestock transport and rugged rural logistics. Meanwhile, the Croner PKE 250 featured a tautliner body, ideal for general agricultural goods and farm-to-market deliveries.

These real-world setups allowed farmers and logistics professionals to visualize how UD Trucks can be tailored to meet specific operational demands.

From the ground up: A holistic customer experience

UDTSA’ stand was more than a showcase of vehicles; it was an experience. Divisions from across the business came together to highlight the full suite of support services available to our customers. Key attractions included:

  • Command centre for Connected Services: Demonstrating how our Connected Services platform helps operators stay informed and in control of their fleet.
  • Parts display area: visitors could see, touch, and understand the quality of UD Genuine Parts.
  • Genuine Lubricants activation zone: A fun and educational space where guests spun a wheel for a chance to win UD merchandise and ENGEN 1App vouchers worth R500.
  • Kids' play area: Ensuring the little ones were entertained while parents explored our offerings.
  • Hospitality Lounge: A comfortable environment where our team and representatives from UD Trucks Klerksdorp engaged with farmers, fleet owners, and decision-makers over refreshments.

Strengthening industry ties

A highlight of the event was the visit from Filip Van den Heede, Managing Director of UD Trucks Southern Africa. He expressed his pride in UD’s continued presence at Nampo and emphasized the importance of the expo in fostering cross-industry collaboration.

“It’s always an honour to be part of an event that brings together the best of Southern Africa’s agricultural sector. Engaging directly with customers helps us better understand the challenges they face—and more importantly, how UD Trucks can help solve them,” said Van den Heede.

Looking ahead

Our participation at Nampo continues to be a valuable opportunity to connect with the agricultural community. Year after year, we’ve seen tangible results in brand awareness, customer engagement, and market growth. UDTSA remains committed to supporting farmers and agricultural businesses across Sub-Saharan Africa with reliable products, innovative services, and dedicated aftersales support.

We thank everyone who visited our stand and look forward to seeing you again next year.
